Glogster

I created a glog at glogster Here is the link to my glog.

A glog is an online poster that can be interactive. You can add music, videos, pictures, etc. to it.
A glog is a very "catchy" piece of work. You can get students attention with a glog. If you are teaching on a topic making it into a glog would get the students more interested in the topic. You could also have the students make a glog. By them making a glog they could get many benefits out of it! A glog falls into the ISTE NETS T category: Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity. By using glogster students would be able to be very creative in their own way to express a topic of interest. The only problem I ran into with using glogster was I had almost completed it and it would not allow be to move some of the things that were piled on top of one another. I had to start all over, lucky though it had saved my video and I was able to use it again!

This NETS is 5a Participate in local and global communities to explore creative applications of technology to improve student learning.

Self Portrait

Well, my picture looks nothing like myself. I have naturally curly hair so I did the best with what I had to work with in order to show that my hair is a little on the "crazy" side and has a mind of its own. I felt this assignment was fun and unlike any assignment I have ever completed. I did not really come upon any real issues in making this self portrait. The only thing was that the features that were given did not really line up with my features. I tried to add some color to the portrait e.g., I made the eyes green like mine are and the hair brown like mine. I used what I had to work with.

The NETS T this follows I believe is Facilitate and Inspire Student Learning and Creativity. This is all around a fun project to do. Students have the permission to be creative about a project and have fun while doing so.
